O gerente geral do SmackDown Daniel Bryan anunciou que o New Day irá enfrentar Shelton Benjamin e Chad Gable no episódio desta semana do SmackDown Live. Os vencedores irão enfrentar os SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos no pay-per-view Fastlane no próximo mês. Bryan tweetou o seguinte:
