Cody Rhodes anunciou neste domingo (11) que sua presença no Global Wars não seria possível devido a uma lesão que o mesmo sofreu durante o ROH Global Wars em Buffalo na
sexta-feira (9). Rhodes anunciou que durante o evento, ouviu um estralho em seu joelho.
Durante o Global Wars deste domingo, Rhodes foi substituído por Juice Robinson que acabou por enfrentar Trent Barreta. No Twitter, o atual IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion disse o seguinte:
"Infelizmente, não poderei lutar em Toronto. Eu ainda estarei no meet-greet pré-show para dizer olá para todo mundo. A ROH encontrará um substituto adequado para o combate. Eu sinto muito mesmo. Eu poderei confirmar a extensão do problema depois de uma ressonância magnética esta semana."
Sadly folks I will not be able to wrestle tomorrow in Toronto. I will still be at the pre-show meet/greet to say hello to everybody
